Interesting podcast discussion, excellent insights. My take….yes, we are born inherently fallen, given to evil, continually conflicted and tested and tried. Spiritual warfare begins early in life, as the infant child first utters the word “No,” in defiance of the parent’s command. If we were in the place of Adam and Eve, we would have done the same thing. But since God provided the lamb to be slain, who was Our Lord Jesus, we are justified through grace alone as the elect predestined to eternal life. But we cannot make our journey through the minefield of life with our corrupted nature without the Holy Spirit and God’s grace in restraining our own sin and potential for evil. Regeneration is the work of God through Christ, and none of us should ever feel spiritual pride in our good works as a means to self-redemption. Your other topics were interesting also, but the topic of man’s evil was the most important in my view.
