Who can be astonished
that we wander from the way,
that error grows strong
in the soft folds of our weakness?
Our infirmity is a heavy shroud,
but what if the power of divine communion
should return to us,
a wild, unbridled harmony of love?
Then who could overcome us,
when both on earth and in heaven,
our steadfast faith would loose and bind?
We would rise,
not as lost souls but as a storm,
a chorus of truth in the shadows,
each heart beating as one,
echoing the strength
that lies beneath our trembling.
Together, we’d break the silence,
the chains of doubt,
and reclaim the path
we once tread in light.
